of Christianity on the development of human rights – its positive and negative aspects. On the project
\u00a0focused on the following fields:
– Slavery
– Women\u2019s rights
– Sexuality and LGBTI rights
– Democracy and capitalism.
Modern human rights movement is often seen in opposition with \u201cconservative\u201d Christianity.\u00a0<\/span>However, in this project the participants have explored the origins of human rights and why in many cases it was very devout Christians that were spearheading these human rights movements. The focus of the project is intercultural and interreligious analysis between different types of Christianity – Catholicism, Orthodox Christianity, Lutheranism, Calvinism & Reformed Protestantism and Eastern Christianity. The partners were carefully selected to come from countries with cultural and historical traditions of different types of Christianity.<\/span><\/p>\n
